What an absolutely horrid tragedy that such a beautiful, young, idealistic woman in the prime of her life would be so brutally and hideously murdered by cowardly drive-by shooters in support of a fraudulent hardcore government. May this angel of liberty's idealism and spirit live on forever!

She was a Philosophy student as it turns out.
Shooting a Philosophy student who was doing nothing more seditious than standing in a crowd with a friend is about the lowest act of state sponsored cowardice imaginable.
It's like Kent state all over again; different faces, different places.

There was a Czech student in his 20s named (I think) Jan Palach who set himself on fire in Prague's St. Wenceslas Square to protest th Soviet invasion and occupation of Czechoslovakia. I was far younger then, but even at that time his martyrdom hit me hard and has stayed with me. I will never forget him or his sacrifice, just as I will never forget the tragic sacrifice and martyrdom of Neda Agha-Soltan. POWER TO THE IRANIAN PEOPLE!

@Jack,
It'll be great to see the Iranians take their country back from the theocracy who co opted their revolution 30 years ago.
And yes, I remember reading about Jan Palach in college. I was only a year old when he made the ultimate sacrifice in protest.
It's very humbling.
I wonder where that kid who stood in front of the tank at Tiannamen Square is today?
